Bremer Bay

A quintessential coastal fishing town located between Albany and Esperance in the Great Southern region of WA. This isolated regional township is internationally recognised for its pristine state and high biological diversity. It has a wild and unspoiled coastline, it is closely connected to nature located on the border of the UNESCO Fitzgerald River National Park where there is an abundance of Wildflowers in season, and a historical atmosphere with some of the buildings like the telegraph station dating back to 1870's. It is unique in that it is the only destination in Australia where you can join a specialised Orca Whale watching cruise.

The white sandy beaches and crystal oceans of Little Boat Harbour, Blossoms Beach, Fishery Beach, and John Cove draw water lovers from near and far, there is so much to experience and enjoy when in Bremer Bay including swimming, fishing, surfing, sandboarding, snorkelling, diving, and four wheel driving.

There are two peak whale watching seasons every year in Bremer Bay:

* January to March, sixty kilometres off the beautiful, rugged coastline, the Australian continental shelf plunges into the depths, and this is the Bremer Canyon Sub-Basin which welcomes the largest congregation of Killer Whales in the Southern Hemisphere. They are drawn here by perfect conditions producing a rich supply of food.

* July to October the sheltered waters around Bremer Bay become a nursery for the Southern Right Whales who come here to give birth to calves.
