Cellar Doors, Chocolate and Craft Beer: A Full Swan Valley Day with D’Vine Wine Tours
Review by Charissa, 4 June 2026. Details last checked October 2026.
There is something special about tasting a wine in the very place it was made, especially when it comes from a small, family-run winery whose bottles you may never find in a big bottle shop. The D'Vine Wine Tours Full Day Swan Valley Tour brings together wine, food, chocolate and a brewery stop in one day, with someone else taking care of the driving.

Where to meet the bus
There are two pickup points: the Bell Tower in Perth CBD at 10:00am, or the bus stop outside the Swan Valley Visitor Centre in Guildford at 10:25am. You can reach either by public transport, and there is plenty of free parking in Guildford if you drive out to meet the bus.
Learning about the valley as you go
The day isn't just a move from one tasting to the next. The tour guide shares the history of the Swan Valley region throughout the trip. Our driver and guide, Barry, chatted with everyone during the day and made the group feel comfortable and at ease. With an air-conditioned bus, guests can relax between each stop rather than think about driving.
What I loved
One of my highlights was tasting local wines and then buying them direct from the vineyard or grower. Many of the smaller, family-run wineries sell their wines only at the "farm gate", so you can't simply pick them up later at a larger bottle shop. Being there lets you taste something local and take it home straight from the people who make it. Wines and chocolates can be bought at each stop, and the driver keeps a communal esky for anything you buy during the day.
Good to know before you go
- Arrive 10 minutes before your pickup time at either location, especially at Guildford
- The bus will wait a maximum of 10 minutes before departing, out of respect for the other guests
- The bus takes up to around 20 guests, so private tours, groups and charters can be booked

The takeaway
For a relaxed day of tasting without a designated driver, the D'Vine Wine Tours Full Day Swan Valley Tour covers the valley's wine, chocolate and craft beer, with a guide who keeps everyone comfortable. It is a good pick for visitors keen to taste the Swan Valley and for locals who want to meet the small producers behind it.
